"Shen Wei's dancers are a breed apart: lissome, precise, expressive-and totally at one
with a choreographic vision that makes philosophical reflections into remarkable, affecting dance."
FIVE STARS
Mary Brennan, The Herald, Scotland
New York City "Shen Wei's reinvention of the dance vocabulary... flows from any point in his dancers' bodies to any other,
bypassing every convention of dance-as-steps or choreography as a predominantly vertical statement."

Through the detailed investigation of moving ideas, students in Shen Wei Dance Art’s Natural Body Development Technique Classes explore breath, internal energy, center shifting, momentum, spirals, rotations, and flow. The technique focuses on providing an informed pathway for opening the body and mind to new ways to approach dance.

Dance classes, master classes and choreography training are tailored for specific audiences.
Emphasis is on Shen Wei’s unique Natural Body Development Technique and theory.
Introduction to Natural Body Technique can be taught in a Master Class setting: Through the detailed investigation of moving ideas, the class explores breath, internal energy, center-shifting, momentum, spirals, rotations and flow. The focus is to provide an informed pathway for opening the body and mind to new ways of approaching dance.
Working within schools and in collaboration with core curricula, the company has created an additional eight themes to integrate dance with a variety of disciplines.
